CSIR safe food initiative for a new India......
To provide safe and nutritious food for all, a series of stakeholder dialogues initiated by CSIR-IITR led to the identification of gaps where technological interventions are required. Several major industries and regulatory agencies including FSSAI, BIS and Export Council of India were consulted during the formulation of the CSIR mission mode programme to meet the unmet needs of the farmers, industries, consumers and regulatory agencies. CSIR will be delivering technological solutions for food safety from "seed to stomach" through this "Food and Consumer Safety Solutions (FOCUS)" mission mode programme.

वैज्ञानिक एवं औद्योगिक अनुसंधान परिषद (सीएसआईआर), जो विविध विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी क्षेत्रों में अपने अत्याधुनिक अनुसंधान एवं विकास ज्ञान आधार के लिए जाना जाता है, एक समकालीन अनुसंधान एवं विकास संगठन है। सीएसआईआर के पास 37 राष्ट्रीय प्रयोगशालाओं, 39 आउटरीच केंद्रों, 3 नवाचार परिसरों और अखिल भारतीय उपस्थिति वाली पांच इकाइयों का एक गतिशील नेटवर्क है। सीएसआईआर की आरएंडडी विशेषज्ञता और अनुभव जून 2021 तक लगभग 4350 वैज्ञानिक और तकनीकी कर्मियों द्वारा समर्थित लगभग 3460 सक्रिय वैज्ञानिकों में सन्निहित है।

Established in 2011 as an ‘Institution of National Importance’ (interim operations started in June, 2010), the Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) has adopted the mandate to create and train some of the best of tomorrow’s Science & Technology leaders through a combination of innovative and novel curricula, pedagogy and evaluation. AcSIR’s focus will be on imparting instruction and providing research opportunities in such areas that are not routinely taught in regular academic universities in India.

OASIS will facilitate optimal deployment of staff and allow appropriate utilization of HR. It will help CSIR to plan ahead by capitalizing on its HR-strengths. In the first phase, OASIS will provide secure access to all bonafide and registered Scientists of CSIR and allow them to update their profiles. Interconnectivity among the different modules provides flexibility in query generation.
