The Institute has academic associations with large number of universities and institute of higher learning to provide training facilities to their Post Graduate students under the supervision of the scientific personnel on payment basis. The students are exposed/provided training to the ongoing research activities of the Institute.

An applications for this purpose may be sent to the Head, Research, Planning and Business Development at rpbd@iitrindia.org accompanied with a letter from the competent authority. A minimum duration of training period is 3 months with a maximum limit up to 1 year. A fee @ Rs.5000/- per month/per student is charged for the duration of six months. Beyond six months, the fee shall be charged @ Rs.2000/- for each additional month for the remaining period.
